CopperJoint wrist compression sleeves are made from nylon infused with high-purity copper. These wrist sleeves are our best recommendation for medical wrist sleeves for conditions such as arthritis, carpal tunnel syndrome, tendinitis, workout- or sport-related injuries, sprains, and post-surgical recovery.

First, we’d like to make a disclaimer here. CopperJoint wrist sleeves, or any copper-infused braces on the market, do not directly promote healing, despite what most companies claim. While copper does have some antimicrobial properties—which help keep your sleeve partially sterile and odorless—depending on the copper content used, the antimicrobial properties might be too minimal to make a difference.

That said, we found CopperJoint uses a higher copper content than most of its competitors, making it our best choice for copper-infused medical wrist sleeves.

Here is a list of pros and cons we’ve seen with the CopperJoint wrist sleeve:

Pros

Lightweight, copper-infused materials

CopperJoint wrist sleeves are made from high-purity copper infused into lightweight, breathable knitted nylon. The benefit of that is that it is antimicrobial, which helps avoid secondary infections in case of an open injury or wound, and keeps the sleeve odorless. The breathable material also wicks sweat and moisture, which helps maintain the temperature around the injury to promote recovery.

Compression

CopperJoint wrist sleeves provide medium compression of about 20-30 mmHg. Compression is what promotes healing by improving blood circulation. The better your circulation, the better the nutrients and antibodies in your blood are transported to your injury to recover. Similarly, better circulation reduces pain.

Comfortable

CopperJoint wrist sleeves are very ergonomic and comfortable to wear. They allow for proper motion if used in activities, with or without injury. The fact that they remain relatively dry throughout daily activities increases the comfort level.

Cons

Poor fit

We noticed this issue in most reviews online and had a similar problem with our CopperJoint sleeves. They can be quite loose, especially in the wrist area, which limits the support and compression you might need. Even those marked as size “small” might not necessarily fit people with small hands. Additionally, they are too tight and rigid at the thumb hole, which might irritate the skin.

Poor impact resistance

We don’t recommend using CopperJoint wrist sleeves in sports or other activities besides medical usage. The copper infusion makes for poor impact resistance and the materials used are soft instead of hard materials typically used in sports wrist sleeves. The cost might not be worth it for people looking for a multi-purpose wrist sleeve.

Bottom line CopperJoint wrist compression sleeves

CopperJoint wrist compression sleeves are the go-to for when you’re looking for an antimicrobial, medical, copper-infused wrist compression sleeve. Additionally, its breathability provides an excellent solution to the problem of increased moisture retention in most compression sleeves, which means it can be worn all day and night, unless otherwise directed by your doctor.
